About Me
Hi! wavesMy name is Regina, and I'm the human behind Awkward Octopus Productions LLC. I'm on a mission to make science a verb in science classrooms everywhere!
I believe science is a verb, and students who experience science are more likely to support scientific reasoning as adults
Creating a hands on active classroom can be time consuming in today's standardized assessment crazy school systems
When teachers work together to support each other, our workload decreases--and the positive effect we have in our classrooms increase!
Experience
My sense of curiousity was developed early on while spending time outdoors on our farmland in southern New Jersey with my father. My experiences with the outdoors: hiking, fishing, biking, crabbing--led me to earn a B.S. in Marine Science from Richard Stockton University. After earning my teaching certificate, I continued my education, earning a M.S. in Biology from Willima Paterson University and most recently, my M.Ed in Teacher Leadership from the American College of Education.

Nearly two decades of experience teaching various levels of students on the middle and high school levels, including ELL, inclusion, honors, and Advanced Placement
Leads staff training in educational technology, blended learning, and facilitates professional learning cycles in staff run professional learning communities
